Vacancy – Adult volunteers for Scout Troop
Many of you will be aware that Bruce Harvey (current Scout troop leader) will be leaving the group at the end of this term after being involved with the troop for many years. However, Sam needs help your help if we are to continue running the conqueror troop from September. Below is an outline of what are volunteer leaders do and what support we can provide.
What do Adult volunteers do?
Adult volunteers can chose to help and lead activities as an Occasional Helper, Section Assisitant or Section Assistant Leader (there are LOTS of options).
Flexible volunteering – means doing the role weekly, fortnighly, monthly to work around your other commitments.
As part of the Leader team, you can help to plan and deliver an exciting, interesting balanced programme to the boys and girls that gives them the opportunity to have fun and learn new skills while taking part in many different types of activities – including lots of adventures, challenges, trips, visits, visitors and possibly even the occasional weekend camp.
Providing ‘everyday adventure’ is what we do!
Volunteering looks great on your CV and a recent impact report told us that 80% of external organisations said that Scouting has benefited their organisation.
