Cub Scouts (8-10.5)

Cub Scouts are the second section of the Scouting movement.

Cub Scouts are boys and girls aged between 8 and 10 years, who like challenge and adventure.

Each cub pack is divided into sixes, each named after a colour and led by a Cub Scout called a Sixer. Challenge and adventure is the focus for cubs and include a range of exciting indoor and outdoor activities, games, crafts, cooking, visits and outings and of course, camping.

Ottery has two cub packs – Coleridge Pack which meets on a Monday night and Patteson pack which meets on a Wednesday night.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
