Scouts (10.5-14)

Scouts are boys and girls aged between 10 and 14 years who want to make friends and develop their widening interests in ways that are both fun and educational.


Scout activities are about action and involvement and include camping, hiking, rock climbing, gliding, sailing, pioneering, canoeing, electronics – the list is endless. The Ottery Scouts also take part in international expeditions to countries like Germany, Holland, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

There are two scout troops Conqueror troop meet on Friday night from 19:00 – 21:00 and Escot troop meet on Tuesday nights 18:30 – 20:30

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
