It is with great delight that the Ottery scout group continues to attract new members (young and old). The next chapter in the group development will take place on Tuesday 14 November with the opening of a 2nd scout troop.

Whilst the group has had a history of two cub packs (Coleridge and Patteson) we have never had the requirement to open two scout troops.

After an initial trial to test the level of interest from young people and also help identify if there was enough adult support, the doors will open to an initial 20 young people.

The troop will be led by Richard Brice-Nye who was previously an assistant cub leader with Patteson pack

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
